Hello and welcome! I'm Michael, the designer and carpenter behind MC2 WoodWorks. My love for woodworking began at a very early age and has continued to grow along with my appreciation for unique, custom wood creations. I love to work with my hands and find that I'm most happy when surrounded by a fresh pile of lumber and a blueprint for something special. Whether it's a unique cottage table that will host an abundance of family dinners or a smaller, more intimate piece that will display and protect your most valued treasures, I'm happy to design and build it. If you can dream it, I can make it.
Woodworking is in my DNA. My father was a career carpenter and I was thrilled to fill the role of his apprentice. I've worked as a carpenter, millwright, and also served 20 years in the Marine Corps where I refined my craftsmanship and learned to appreciate the value of quality and discipline. For as long as I can remember, I've worked with my hands and have always been passionate about creating things. I incorporate my love for woodworking along with my dedication and attention to detail in every custom piece I produce.
When I'm not woodworking, you can find me relaxing with a latte or cappuccino in hand. I enjoy painting, photography and spending time vacationing on the beach. But even when I'm not working, I somehow always manage to find inspiration for my next project.
Although woodworking has always been a hobby, MC2 WoodWorks came into existence when I began producing customized pieces for my wife's event planning business, Michelle Leo Events. Many of my pieces can be found throughout her event designs and have been featured on TV, in print and online on a local and national level.
Thanks for stopping by and getting to know more about me. Feel free to browse my gallery of past creations. And don't hesitate to contact me if you have a custom piece in mind. I'd be happy to create it for you!
